| Band Booster Meetings are held the second Tuesday of every month in the MGM Band Room at 7pm. All are welcomed to attend. |
The purpose of the booster organization is to assist and
promote the band and its directors. As a result, the key
functions of this groups’ become communicators, chaperones,
and financial supporters. This is not a group that governs or
makes decisions for the band, but is a group of volunteers that
meet to enhance and support the band and its experiences.
This group provides financial support by helping to purchase
equipment and help in any way the group feels can be
affordable and enhance the band program. This organization will
make policies for its governing body, but is not a “policy making”
organization for the band program.
Band Booster meetings are held meetings are held the 2nd
Tuesday of every month. This is a time for sharing ideas and
organizing events for the band. All parents and supporters are
welcomed and encouraged to attend these meetings. We
always meet in the MGM Band room at 7pm on those 2nd
Tuesdays.
The band parents wear matching shirts to events. You, as
parents, are encouraged to participate in fundraising and
chaperoning events. Order forms for shirts can be made
available at band booster meetings as well as on the Booster
page of our band website.
This year we are offering to parents a special incentive for
volunteering with the MGM Band Boosters. For each family that
volunteers at two football games working the concession stand,
we will discount that student’s fees by $30. Parents with more
than one student in the band will be allowed to work additional
shifts to cover all of their band students. Only adults that are 21
years of age or older may volunteer to work in the concession
stand. No parents may substitute shifts for another student in
the band. Only parents related to the students may work to
discount fees for that student.
